LEONARD O. PAGEL
Leonard O Pagel passed away at the age of 67, on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, in Fresno, CA. Leonard was born on July 11, 1949, in Corcoran, CA, to Harley and Dora Pagel. He spent much of his childhood enjoying the outdoors with his best friends. He graduated from Corcoran High School and California State University, Fresno, with a degree in Business Administration. He worked in the accounting and agriculture fields before opening his own mortgage brokerage firm, New Era Financial, in 1993. In addition to his mortgage company, he opened The Housing Connection in 2000, a real estate company in Kingsburg, CA, which he operated with his wife Judy. He married Judy, the love of his life, in 1998. Together their love of baseball, NASCAR and most of all history, took them on many trips. Their love of adventure and especially travel to the civil war battle fields provided them with an amazing amount of wonderful memories and stories. Leonard was currently sitting as a commissioner on the Fresno County Planning Commission. He was a proud member of Lions International for 27 years and served as president for several terms. He also sat on numerous board of directors within the real estate and mortgage industries. Leonard was incredibly passionate and proud of his family. He is survived by his daughter, Amy Howes and her husband Danny; son, Matt and his husband Corey Revilla; grandchildren, Drew and Cara; sister, Cindy Harris; step-son, Damon Graham; and numerous aunts and nephews. There will be a Celebration of Leonard's Life at the Kingsburg Historical Park, 2321 Sierra Street, Kingsburg, CA, on Saturday, March 18, 2017, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
