Leonard Hornak, 84, of Churchill, surrounded by his family, died Sunday, April 16, 2017. He was born in Braddock to the late Frank and Elizabeth Hornak. He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann (Gigliotti) for 60 years. He will be dearly missed by his daughters, Sharon Hornak, of Columbia, Md.; Kathy (Dennis) Bierbower, of North Huntingdon; and Barb (Chris) Stewart, of Moon Township. He was the devoted grandfather of Michelle Bierbower, Danny Bouman, Michael Bouman, Sean Bouman, Jesse Stewart and Jacob Stewart; brother of Marty (Cindi) Hornak, and the late Vincent, Raymond, Lawrence, Frank, and George, and sister, Betty Hornak; and brother-in-Law of Anna Mae, Edith and Dolores Hornak, Jack (the late Anna Mae) Gigliotti and Larry (Johanna) Gigliotti. Len graduated from St. Thomas High School of Braddock and received his engineering degree from Carnegie Tech (Mellon). He worked for Westinghouse Nuclear Fuel Division for 33 years. Len was a very special man and will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. TUESDAY ONLY at ROBERT P. KARISH FUNERAL HOME, Brinton Road and Fourth Street, Braddock Hills (412-271-3430). A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Maurice Church.
