WRIGHT, Leo John (1924 - 2017) Age 93, of Enon, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. Leo was born on February 27, 1924 in Winner, South Dakota, the son of Emma Cordier and Jesse Wright of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. A veteran of World War II, Leo was a proud member of the United States Air Force in which he had a 31-year career. Leo also enjoyed being outdoors walking in his neighborhood or working in his flower garden. Leo is survived by his wife Marian, his daughter Susan (Bennett Friedman) Wright, Miamisburg, his grandchildren, Sarah (Gene) Crawford, Toledo , Scott Perry, Indianapolis, Steven (Chelsea) Wright, Centerville, his great grandchildren, Leo and Elizabeth Crawford and Olivia Perry, his step-children Susan (Mark) Becker, Escondido, CA, Jim (Margaret) MaGee, Evanston, WY and Mike(Michelle) MaGee, Ramona, CA and six step grandchildren. Leo was preceded in death by his late wife, Lurah Maxine Wright, his son John Wright, and his parents and five brothers and two sisters. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 22 at Christ the King Anglican Church, 925 N. Main St. Dayton, OH 45405. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Friends Care Community, 150 E. Herman Street, Yellow Springs, OH, 45387, Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH 45420 or Christ the King Anglican Church. The family would like to thank the Friends Care Community for their dedicated and loving care which helped keep Leo the ray of sunshine to all who met him.
