In memory of
Leo V. Staszak
Staszak, Leo V. Leo V. Staszak, age 88, of Necedah, Wisconsin, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin. He was born April 7, 1928, to John and Anna (Stukowski) Staszak. Leo spent his working career working as a manger in sales for Taylor Electric, based in Mequon, WI. When away from work he loved his time spent outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. After moving to Necedah he was able to revel in generous stints in the woods on his acreage. His time there was only made better when his children and grandchildren were able to devote time to spend with him. Leo was an avid Packer fan, who rarely missed a game. Leo lived a good life and will be missed by all who knew him. Some of his more difficult times included the loss of his daughters, Leigh Pollpeter and Teresa Ely. He is survived by his children, Christopher (Jean Hanson) Staszak of Fort Collins, CO; Lindsey Staszak of Colorado Springs, CO; Deidre (Dan) Wenzel of Medina, OH; Geri (Brian) Davis of Glen Ellyn, IL; David (Patti) Staszak of Wildwood, MO; Maria (Brian) McCarthy of Minneapolis, MN; Jennifer (Pat) Joyce of London, England; Leo's children's mother, Louise, of Kansas; 18 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; two sons-in-law, Todd (Mary Ann) Pollpeter of Fillmore, WI and Zane (Kim) Ely of Carlsbad, CA. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Leigh and Teresa and 13 brothers and sisters, Casey, Father Norbert, Emily, Betty, Harry, Joe, Father David, Mike, Anna, Lucy, Frank, Adam and Mary. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday February 20, 2017, 11:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Necedah, WI. Burial with full military honors will follow in the church cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited for visitation on Monday at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Following services, a celebration of Leo's life will be held at the VFW Vets's Hall in Necedah, with his family and friends from 2 to 4 PM. The family has asked that memorials be given in Leo's memory to the American Cancer Society or the American Red Cross. The Torkelson Family Funeral Home of Necedah will be assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences are available at www.torkelsonfuneralhome.com
