In memory of
Lenora Lee' Rathbone November 15, 1929 - January 31, 2017 San Diego Lee was our hero! She raised her three daughters solo on a high school education, often working two jobs to make ends meet. Regardless of the demands on her time, she still made it a priority to devote herself and her resources to worthy organizations, donating much of her income until the time of her death. Before Alzheimer's started to chip away at her being, she was strong, active, beautiful, smart, loving, and funny! One of her passions was travel, and after retiring from a long, successful career at TRW in Redondo Beach as a technical editor, she took full advantage of her love. Her favorite destinations included Italy, Spain, France, Costa Rica and Ireland. A travel highlight was taking granddaughter April to the Galapagos Islands after April's high school graduation. But the most important things to Lee were her family and many friends, some of whose friendships spanned 60+ years. Lee was born in Ypsilanti, MI to Herb and Josephine Wilson, and was preceded in death by her youngest daughter Diana. She is survived by daughters Cathleen Colacino (Peter) and Debbie Neuman (George Williams), sister Joyce Croff (Ken), sister Judy Coulter (Gene), grandchildren April Steingrebe (Scott), Alex and Max Bergeson, and great-grandchildren Laney, Lucas, and Charlotte. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
