Schukow, Leland Leland Schukow was born October 7, 1933 to the late Willard and Gladys Schukow in Plymouth and passed away on January 10, 2017 in Oshkosh at the age of 83. He graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School and on June 4, 1955 was united in marriage to Alice Weber in Sheboygan. Following his service in the United States Navy, he was employed by Hayssen in Sheboygan until 1986 when he moved to Oshkosh and worked at Armstrong Blum until he retired. He enjoyed bowling, tinkering with household projects, playing cards with family and friends, polka music, dancing, and singing to the Oak Ridge Boys. His devotion to his wife and family was evident while wearing his heart on his sleeve. His charm, determination, and positive spirit will be remembered always. He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his daughter, Brenda (John) Hawig of Sheboygan; son, Brian (Lynn) Schukow of Brooklyn Park, MN; grandchildren, Lisa (Brian) Spaeth of Oshkosh and Jessica (Thomas) Bush of Edina, MN. He is further survived by step-mother, Beth Schukow of Sheboygan; two brothers, Robert (Elaine) Schukow of Sheboygan and Richard (Janice) Schukow of Elkhart Lake; five sisters, Doris Nitsche of Fond du Lac, Nancy (Duwayne) Froh of Kohler, Jean Mueller of Cedar Grove, Laura O'Keefe and Joyce (Lee) Hacker both of Sheboygan; sister-in-law, Mitzi Papenfuss of Oshkosh; brothers-in-law, Joel Entringer of Random Lake and Alvin (Frieda) Weber of Marysville, CA; nieces, nephews, and many friends. Leland is preceded in death by his wife Alice, his parents, sister Shirley Entringer, nine brothers-in-law, and five sisters-in-law. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (2450 W. 9th Ave, Oshkosh, WI 54904), from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Greg Koepsell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or the Oshkosh Area Humane Society in Leland's name are appreciated. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire nursing staff at Park View Health Center who cared for him during his stay.
