Lee M. Peterson
Peterson, Lee M. Oct. 30, 1926 - Jan. 11, 2017 Pasqualina Maria Concetta Siciliano was born in New York City in 1926. "Lee" was married to J. Robert Peterson for 58 years. She was predeceased by her brothers Frank and Pat, and by her parents Fillipo and Giovannina. Lee was a woman of many accomplishments and won numerous awards. She was a loving mother, and grandmother. A talented singer and actress, Lee was professionally trained in opera. She performed on Broadway and in a variety of venues. Lee and her husband were philanthropists whose primary focus was mental illness. Their efforts in this area helped to define the landscape for research and treatment on a national level. In addition they were great supporters of numerous organizations in their beloved community of Sarasota, Florida. Lee is survived by her three children David, Jeffrey and Janice, and by her grandchildren Philip Radder, and Annabel and Hunter Peterson. A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the following organizations: Ringling College of Art and Design/Peterson Counseling Center and Coastal Behavioral Healthcare/Compeer Program.
