Lawrence Lee Skinner
Lawrence Lee Skinner Norfolk - On Saturday, April 15, 2017, Lee Skinner, 70, lost his courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born in Glouster, Ohio on August 25, 1946. He served his country for 26 years in the U.S. Navy, retiring as a RM Chief in 1990. In 2004, his fantastic and generous brother in law Larry donated Lee a kidney, Lee protected that gift till his last breath. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert Eugene and Florence Jane Skinner; sister, Brenda Morgan; and brother, George Skinner. Lee is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Selma (Jeanie); son, Lawrence Lee Skinner, Jr., (Linda); daughters, Katherine Brown and Holly Schauf (Justin); five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, twelve brothers and sisters, two brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, his beloved mother-in-law, Sarah Edwards; numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel on Tuesday April 18, 2017, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Miles Memorial United Methodist Church, Norfolk, VA; by the Rev. David Goodpasture. Interment will follow at Albert Horton Cemetery, Suffolk, VA., with full military honors. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com
