Lauren Lee Unruh
Lauren Lee Unruh 1954 - 2017 Lauren Lee Unruh, the oldest son of D. Eugene and Salome Unruh, was born on June 12, 1954 at Roseburg, Oregon. He peacefully departed this life April 12, 2017 at his home in Parma, Idaho after a courageous battle with cancer. Lauren's preadolescent years were spent with his parents and siblings in central Kansas. Here he enjoyed the farming lifestyle. In his early teen years he moved to the foothills of Northern California. He loved the mountains and was employed in the logging industry for many years. During those years he forged many lifelong friendships. Lauren accepted the Lord as his personal Savior at twelve years of age. He became a member of the Church of God in Christ Mennonite on March 24, 1967. He was married to Becky Koehn at Livingston, California on June 16, 1974. They were the parents of four sons and one daughter. Lauren and Becky moved to Parma, Idaho in October, 2004. He loved the quiet solitude of the rolling grasslands around their home. In Idaho he continued to be involved in the trucking industry. He is survived by his wife Becky; four sons, Dwonn and Rosanne, Denver and Jessica, Kenny and Anne, and Damien; one daughter, Shari and Todd Koehn and seventeen grandchildren. A viewing will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 16th at Treasure Valley Mennonite Church, New Plymouth, Idaho. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 17th at Treasure Valley Mennonite Church, New Plymouth, Idaho under the direction of Shaffer-Jenson Memory Chapel.
