In memory of
Laura A. Junglas
Laura Anna (Homrich) Junglas, age 95 of Dorr, was escorted by Angels into the arms of Jesus on Monday, October 17, 2016. Laura was born March 13, 1921 in Byron Center, Michigan. Preceding her in death were her parents Raymond and Anna Homrich; her husband of 55 years Norbert; a daughter Theresa Syswerda; her son-in-law Robert Dever; her grandsons Travis and Chad Cornell; her brothers: Leander, Robert, Rudolph and Armond Homrich; her sisters Dorothy Barnaby, Mildred Prelwitz, and Lillian Patterson. Laura leaves to cherish her memories, her children: Norman (Nenita) Junglas, Carol Dever, Kathleen Berens, Linda (Jim) Hillen, and Ronald Junglas. She will be lovingly remembered by her 23 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren; her sisters: Angeline Crooks and Eilene Hurley; and many nieces and nephews and treasured friends who will dearly miss her. Laura had such a strong Christian Faith which was evident in her strong character and servant heart, always putting others first. She had a passionate faith in God and truly was a prayer warrior. Laura opened her heart and her home to all. Upon leaving you had her delicious homemade bread and pie sent with you. She was a volunteer at Laurels of Sandy Creek in Wayland for 26 years until the age of 90, where residents waited for her smile, a hug or just a touch as she passed by. Laura treated them weekly with a piece of her banana bread after Bingo. In 2007, Laura was honored into Dorr's Hall of Fame for her significant caring and sharing of the community. When asked about longevity, her answer was "Don't Quit." Keep going as long as God lets you. Dedicating yourself to family and friends. A golden heart stopped beating and her hard working hands are now at rest. Saints are created by God! Laura was a member for over 70 years at St. Mary's Visitation Parish, 2459-146th Avenue, Byron Center, where her life will be celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Visitation Parish, 2459 146th Ave., S.W., with Fr. Stephen Rodrigo and Fr.
