Laura Mossie Hill, 83, of Morristown, formerly of Tazewell, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016 at Morristown Hamblen Hospital. She was saved at an early age and was a member of Mount Herman Baptist Church and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cooking for everyone. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Crockett and Roxie Goins Brooks; devoted husband of 64 years, Lester Hill; brothers, Heastern Brooks, Neil Brooks and infant Howard Brooks; sisters, Bessie Mae Fugate and Alice Richmond; daughter-in-law, Anita Hill; and grandbaby, Alexis Watterson. She is survived by her daughters, Doretha Goins, Glenna (Chris) Watterson and Norma Hill; sons, Leonard Hill and Clayton (Peggy) Hill; granddaughters, Atolia, Jackie, Marie and Beverly; grandsons, Chris Goins, Chris Watterson II, Clayton Hill II and Anthony Hill; great-grandchildren, Sirean, Keona Nicely, Destinee and Dasha Smith, Briana, Keasona and Justin Carter, C.J. Sabry Watterson and Melia and Mila Hill; several nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17 at Goins Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Anthony Hill, Clayton Hill II, Marty White, Mike Watterson, Jeff Watterson and Claude Lyons. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Watterson, Gary Kyle, Larry Litton, Lester Goins, Lewis Johnson and Sirean Nicely. Arrangements by Coffey Funeral Home.
