Laura Belle Earl, 89, of Annapolis died September 24, 2016 at home after a sudden illness. Laura was the former wife of Harold J. O'Lynnger, who died in 2012. Laura was born February 22, 1927, in Columbus, OH, where she grew up and attended school. After marriage, she and her husband moved to White Plains, NY where her two children were born. The family moved to Maryland in 1963, living in Pasadena and later Arnold. After her children were grown Laura worked for many years at Anne Arundel Community College, where she also took classes and graduated with an AA degree. After retiring from AACC, she attended the College of Notre Dame in Baltimore (now known as Notre Dame of Maryland University), graduating with a degree in Human Services. She then worked for the YWCA as a counselor until she retired. During her retirement, Laura enjoyed listening to the music of David Bowie and Frank Sinatra, and watching western movies and TV shows. She was a fan of the Orioles and the Ravens. Laura was very proud of her Ohio heritage and she had a lifelong interest in Native American culture. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen O'Lynnger, and her son, Patrick O'Lynnger, both of Annapolis. Donations in Laura's memory can be made to St. Joseph's Indian School, 1301 North Main St, Chamberlain, SD 57325.
