Laura Bevilacqua, 73 Manicurist and loving mother enjoyed Atlantic City Laura Bevilacqua, 73, of Huguenot, Staten Island, died Feb. 15, 2017, in Staten Island University Hospital North. Born in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, N.Y., and raised in Dyker Heights, she lived in Richmond for 46 years. Laura was a manicurist. She loved to play bingo, enjoyed cooking, taking trips to Atlantic City, and spending time with her family. When she was home, she liked spending time on the computer. Laura was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Robert Bevilacqua Sr. She was the loving mother of Susan Medeiros (Tony), Yvonne Szczerba (Chris), Robert Jr. (Carmen), and Jeannine DeMatteis (Michael); and cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation is today, Friday, from 2 to 4:30 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral is at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at St. Joseph's, with burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, N.Y.
