Krista West Cross
Krista West Cross Naples, FL After a very courageous battle with cancer, our beloved angel was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on Oct. 12, 2016. Krista West Cross was born on Dec. 25, 1971 to her parents Kenneth West Sr. and Mary Ellen Jordan West. She grew up in the Warren, Ohio area and after graduating from Howland Christian High School, moved to the Naples, Florida area. She soon met the love of her life, Rhoderick Cross and together they shared a marriage of 19 years. Krista developed a passion for working with small children which led her to a career as a pre-school teacher. Precious Cargo Academy was where she decided to affect the lives of many young minds. Her infectious smile, unyielding devotion, and effortless work ethic, will always be remembered by the young lives she touched. The other passion of Krista's life was her church where she was able to share her faith in God. Naples First Church of the Nazarene was the other place she called home where her radiant smile made her the perfect greeter. She also was an inspiration to many lives at the church where her unyielding faith never wavered during her courageous battle with a deadly disease. Her unyielding faith will serve as a testament to all of the loved ones she has left behind. She was preceded in death by both her paternal and maternal grandparents; her father Kenneth West Sr.; children, Kody and Peanut Cross; and her father-in-law, Floyd Cross. She is survived by her husband Rhoderick Cross; stepson Justin Cross; mother Mary Ellen West; siblings, Sheryl (Jeff) Wright, Kenneth (Regina) West Jr., Brent (Julie) West, Shawn (Mary) West Sr., Rebekah West, Justin (Melissa) West, and Peter (Pam) Mongeau. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Darla Cross; and sister-in-law, Velvet (Charles) Weber. Krista's world was enriched by her many nieces and nephews whom she loved and adored. Her fur baby Mickey will miss her terribly. A celebration of life will be held at Naples First Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, Oct. 22nd at 4 pm.
