Kevin "Kal" Sterling was a resident of St. Francisville. He died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at the age of 54. He was a native of St. Francisville, a vested member of the law enforcement system, and an astute business man and entrepreneur. Visitation at St. Mary Baptist Church (9840 Mulberry Hill St. Francisville, La. 70775) on Saturday, Jan. 14, from 11:00 a.m. until religious service at 12:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. George R. Noflin. Interment in St. Mary Baptist Church Cemetery. He is survived by his two children, Jeremy (Tasha) Swan, Sierra Sterling; two grandchildren, Laila and Journee Swan; sisters, Juanita S. Harris, and Gloria (Mike) Brumfield, Rachel Dorthy, Mary Diane Mason, Ameesha (Charles) Riley; brothers, Jerry, Larry, Elvin Sterling, Lev Sterling, Tyrone(Delores) Sterling, Horace Sterling, and Nathaniel (Cheryl) Gibbs; godson, Gregory (Donna) Gilmore, and a host of other sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sterling Sr. and Lenora Barrow Sterling; daughter, Monique Anderson; two brothers, Robert Jr. and Feltus Sterling; two sisters, Delores Gilmore and Lenora Sterling II. He was a member of St. Mary Baptist Church.
