Kenneth A. Wiskemann Jr.
Kenneth A. Wiskemann Jr., 86, of Mars, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at St. John's Lutheran Care Center, Mars. Kenneth was born Monday, June 30, 1930, in Tarentum, to the late Kenneth A. and Edna Blanche (Martz) Wiskemann Sr. Kenneth attended Tarentum High School and joined the Army, giving two years in active service and more than 30 years in the Reserves before retiring as a colonel in 1990. Kenneth also worked as a machinist at Allegheny Ludlum for 42 years before retiring in 1991. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Natrona Heights, where he was a very active member, and served as a lay minister at other churches. Kenneth also belonged to the Tarentum Masons Scottish Rite, and he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Robert A. (Cathleen) Wiskemann, of Gibsonia, and the Rev. Sandra A. (Wyatt) Fitzgibbons, of Smithton; his grandchildren, Patrick A. Wiskemann and Robert Ryan (fiancee Petra Parquette) Fitzgibbons; and his siblings, Phyllis Thomson, of Fawn Township, and Marlin "Babe" Wiskemann, of New Kensington. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Audrey E. (Roberts) Wiskemann, on Jan. 18, 2010, and his brothers, Gary and Ron Wiskemann. Family and friends are invited from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724-224-7730), where funeral services will immediately follow at 4 p.m., with the Rev.
