Kenneth Taylor Scott
Kenneth Taylor Scott, 79, of Big Spring died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, in a Lubbock hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at the Nalley-Pickle and Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home. Kenneth was born Oct. 1, 1937, in Luther, Texas, and married Mary Elizabeth Duncan, June 1, 1957, in Garden City. She preceded him in death June 2, 2004. Kenneth loved to camp, hunt and fish, especially with his favorite buddy, his wife. He served in the First Division of the United States Army. He was a member of the Midway Baptist Church. Kenneth is survived by two daughters, Alisa Jaird and husband Mike, and Sonceia Lowery and husband Kerry, all of Sand Springs; a grandson, Hunter Lowery; a granddaughter, Erin Lowery; a sister, Sarabeth Hodges and husband Bob of Comanche; a sister-in-law, Martha Moore of Big Spring; a brother-in-law, Royal Duncan of Abilene; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Trailer and Audra (Taylor) Scott; a brother, E. V. Scott; and one sister, Pauline Hanson.
