Kathryn "Katie" Vanderhoff, 89, passed away in Klamath Falls, Ore., April 12, 2017. A service of tribute and love will be at Shasta Way Christian Church at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017, with Pastor Corey Lemke officiating. Interment will be at Eternal Hills. Friends may call for visitation at the Klamath Tribute Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, April 21. Kathryn was born on Jan. 27, 1928, to Grace Ramsey in Sacramento, Calif. The family moved to Klamath Falls in 1937 where she graduated from Klamath Union High School in 1946. She married Roger Vanderhoff on Feb. 22, 1949, a marriage that lasted 66 years when she was preceded in death by Roger in 2014. They had two wonderful children, David, born in 1950 and Debra, born in 1951. Kathryn worked at First Interstate Bank in customer service for several years before retiring. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Elkettes. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Debbi Vanderhoff of Klamath Falls; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Clyde Pritchard of Redmond, Ore.; grandson, Bryan and his wife Becky Vanderhoff of Dundee, Ore.; grandson-in-law, Abner Espero of Klamath Falls; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Violet, Grace, Lily and Brianna; brother, Gordon Ramsey of Klamath Falls; sister-in-laws and brother-in-law, Gloria and Virgil Nelson of Phoenix, Ore., Effie Vanderhoff of Klamath Falls, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger, in 2014; her mother; five brothers; and her beloved granddaughter, Angela Espero. Klamath Tribute Center is in charge of the arrangements.
