Kathleen Y. (Kay) Oliver Redding, CA 1936 - 2016 Kay passed away peacefully Saturday October 08, 2016 at Willow Springs Alzheimer's Special Care Center. She was born July 22, 1936, the second of three sisters born in Redding to A.W. "Joe" and Marjorie Hislop. Kay was a life-long resident of Shasta County. She enjoyed such hobbies as sewing, bowling and golf. She was involved in the church and spent many years collecting recyclables to donate to charities. She also worked with Habitat for Humanity on various projects. Later in life she traveled with her husband, Pete, and kept active with hiking, bike riding and walking. Traveling in their motorhome and camping with the grandkids was something she also enjoyed. Kay was preceded in death by her husband Peter Oliver (2013). Her survivors include sisters Norma Haner of Redding and Dorothy Studer of Healdsburg, daughter, Margie (Warren) Larson of Cloverdale; son, Joseph (Deana) Oliver of Sacramento, four granddaughters and one great grandson. Service and reception will be held at Lawncrest Chapel on October 18, 2016 at 1:00 pm.
