Fisher, Kathleen 1/12/1950 - 1/8/2017 Ann Arbor, MI Kathy was born Kathleen Ann Marcellus in Easton, PA. She lived there for 13 years until her family moved to Ft. Myers, FL. During those 13 years, her passion was sledding with her cousin, Michael, with whom she was very close. They have remained close all these years. On January 8, 2017, Kathy died peacefully after suffering many illnesses brought on by her lupus condition. Kathy was a reader, often reading 2-3 books a week. She loved to discuss her most recent book with friends and give recommendations for others. Upon completing HS in Florida she obtained an undergrad degree in Psychology and then went on to achieve two years of law school in Atlanta while serving as flight attendant for 28 years for Delta Airlines. Her travels took her around the world to exotic locations such as Paris, Rome, London and St. Thomas. She and her husband, Joe, often vacationed in many of these same spots. At the age of 38, she and Joe took on the responsibility of raising Zoe, Joe's granddaughter. This to her was a labor of love and she poured her heart and soul into the project. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 21st, at Northside Community Church on Barton Drive in Ann Arbor. There will be a family visiting hour at 10 AM, with the service at 11 AM, and a reception to follow. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be made to the Lupus Foundation of America. Kathy was known by all for her grace and elegance and her way of making people feel good with whom she came into contact. Despite all her illnesses and physical challenges, she remained positive and upbeat and to many who knew her, she was their hero and role model.
