Justine "Jessie" HAILE
HAILE, Justine "Jessie" 89 Years of Life Was born in Spokane, Washington on July 11 1927 to Horace and Caroline Johnston. Mom grew up in Spokane and graduated from Rogers High School. She married Van E. Haile on June 28, 1948 and they traveled around the state with Dad's job until settling in Moses Lake. In 1957, twin daughters Sandra Kay and Susan Yvonne were brought into the family where they were showered with love and attention. Mom had a gift of painting, adding color to black and white photos before color pictures came out. She worked for several studios around Moses Lake and she also drove school bus. In 1968, the family moved to Selah, Mom worked several years at Larson Fruit Co. In 1978, Mom and Dad moved back to Chattaroy to be closer to their families. They lived on part of the land that the Haile family had homesteaded until Dad passed away in 2005. Mom moved into Spokane until May of 2016 when her health deteriorated then she moved closer to her daughters where she passed away quietly on October 7, 2016. Justine is survived by her daughters Sandra (Rick) Stilwater of East Wenatchee and Susan (Mike) Haney of Selah, grandchildren Michelle (Clayton), Brian (Kristen), Scott and Lindsey (Jason) and great-grandchildren Tabitha, Brody, Alexis, Lucas, Stella and Clarissa. Funeral service will be at the Open Door Congregational Church in Deer Park, WA on October 22, at 11:00 AM; followed with interment at Chattaroy Cemetery. LAUER FUNERAL HOME in Deer Park, Washington
