June Sauze Dunkin
June Sauze Dunkin San Angelo Our beloved mother and sister, Doris June Sauze Dunkin, 86, of San Angelo, was received into the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Oct. 10, 2016. June and her twin sister, Jean, were born on Dec. 26, 1929 as the only children to Frank E. and Noodie Mae Sauze in Vernon, Texas. June grew up in Abilene where she played saxophone in the band for Abilene High School and McMurry University. She attended Texas Tech University and graduated from McMurry University in 1951 with a Bachelor of Art degree in Business. June married in 1954 and lived in Fort Stockton, Abilene, Pecos and San Angelo where she was the Administrative Assistant to the Librarian, Business Manager and Vice President for Fiscal Affairs at Angelo State University, retiring after 30 years of service. June was very active in Eastern Star, Rainbow Girls and served faithfully in her church, teaching children in Sunday school and Training Union for many years. Children held a very special place in her heart. June was preceded in death by her parents, Frank E. and Noodie Mae Sauze. June is survived by her twin sister, Jean Sauze; daughter Evelynn Braden and husband Randy of Rankin; and their three children, James Braden, Aaron Braden and Nathan Braden; daughter Cindy Griffith and husband Jim of Rockwall; son Steven Dunkin of Weatherford; and his daughters Blair Salley and husband Clayton and Lauren Dunkin. The family would like to give our deepest heartfelt gratitude to the staff and caregivers at Orchard Park, Odessa, Desert Gardens, Midland and Hospice of Midland. Pallbearers will be Steven Dunkin, Randy Braden, James Braden, Aaron Braden, Nathan Braden, Jim Griffith, Seth Mukweyi and Clayton Salley. Honorary Pallbearer is Mike Munday, Visitation is from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at Ellis Funeral Home. Celebration of Life is at 12 p.m Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at First Baptist Church in Midland.
