Julia M. "Judy" Zukowski
NEWTON - Julia "Judy" M. Zukowski, 93, of Newton, died Saturday, Jan. 7, at the Homestead Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, in Frankford. Born in Halluin, France, Mrs. Zukowski came to the United States in December of 1929, and lived in Paterson before moving to Newton in 1937. She was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church, in Newton. The daughter of the late Achille and Marie (Hostens) Moerkerke, Mrs. Zukowski was predeceased by her husband, Edmund J. Zukowski, on June 15, 1992, and her son-in-law, Dr. Gary P. Jolly, in 2010. She is survived by her son, Edmund A. Zukowski and wife, Rose, of the Culver Lake section of Frankford; her daughter, Joann Adamek Jolly, of Farmington, Conn.; five grandchildren, Amanda Hofmann and husband, James, Kelly Stanley, Cmdr. Edmund L. Zukowski and wife, Elizabeth, Grady A. Edelstein and husband, Keith, and Adam Adamek and wife, Megan; as well as nine great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, at St. Joseph R.C. Church in Newton. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14, from 10-11 a.m., at the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph R.C.
