In memory of
Heslin, Judy Judy Heslin, beloved wife of Joe, slipped away from those who loved her April 9 after a 12 year battle with lung cancer. Judy was a petite woman that cast a big shadow, and despite her multiple health challenges, always had a ready smile, a hug or a word of appreciation for all in her life. Judith Ann Dorn was born June 22, 1940 in Minneapolis Minnesota, one of 6 children. She had an older sister Patsy, Older Brother, Ernie, older Brother Mike and younger sisters, Ginger and Gretchen. Married for 56 years she is survived by: Her husband Joe, Son Joe Jr. (Rose) and his daughters Jaime and Kimberly; Son Matthew, (Coral) and their children Brittany, Mattison and Reagan; Daughter, Kimberly Marasco, (Jim) and their daughters Nicole, Alexandra, and Ashley; Son Stephen, (Felicia) and their sons Christian and Brandon. She had a special place in her grandchildren's lives and hearts. Her dear daughter, Kathleen, predeceased her in 1988. Judy lived her life making friends with people and finding multiple ways to help others. After Kathleen passed, she and Joe established the Kathleen Heslin Caring & Sharing Foundation in Santa Barbara. She also co-chaired Family Promise at Saint Barnabas On The Desert Episcopal Church, hosting homeless families. She was a partner with Joe in Santa Barbara Aviation, serving many clients' transportation needs, as well as providing many services to the Reagan Western White House. She was energetic, warm, loved to cook and travel, and redecorate homes. She will be deeply missed. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Barnabas On The Desert Church at 11 AM on April 29th, with a reception to follow at an adjacent church facility. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Family Promise of Greater Phoenix, c/o St. Barnabas On The Desert Episcopal Church, 6715 N. Mockingbird Lane, Scottsdale, AZ 85253-4344.
