JUDITH SMALLEY Judith "Judy" Madeline (nee James) Smalley passed away April 7, 2017 at the Tranquil Breezes Comfort Home in Henderson with her loving husband, Charles "Chuck" Steger, by her side. Judy was born in Camden, N.J., February 21, 1938, to the late Albert and Phyllis (nee Davey) James. Her early childhood was spent in Laurel Springs, N.J. among her large extended family. In 1948 the family moved to Collingswood, N.J. where she graduated from Collingswood High School in 1956. Judy worked for the Campbell Soup Company until the birth of her first son in 1958. She then lived in Medford, N.J. until she moved to San Diego to be with her sons, who were stationed at the naval base. Christmas Eve of 1984, Judy married Chuck Steger in Yuma, Ariz. In 2000 the couple retired to Hernando, Fla., and in 2014, moved to Henderson. During their 32 years of marriage, Judy and Chuck vacationed throughout Europe, Hawaii and the Caribbean. Judy is survived by her four children, Michael, Peter, Douglas, and Diane Rudderow; three grandchildren, Michael, Ian, Rachel Rudderow; her sister, Joan (Donald) Rapp; and nieces; nephews; and numerous cousins. Judy's burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn, Penn., date pending.
