In memory of
Judith Anne "Judy" Malmin
Judith "Judy" Ann Malmin After a long battle with MS, Judy passed away peacefully with her family at her side on January 3, 2017. Judy was born to Edward J. and Helen (Jackson) Bartenhagen on November 11, 1943. She was raised in Boise, attending Central Elementary, North Jr. High, and Boise High before graduating from Borah High in 1962. Judy Married Lenard Malmin in 1962, and together they raised three children. She was a good Wife and Mom. She was always dedicated to the care and welfare of her family. Also the Malmin house always had dogs and cats which she loved and spoiled. While her family and home always came first she had many interests and hobbies over the years. In the early 1980's she became determined to lose all the excess weight that she had gained and through strict diet and exercise she achieved and maintained her Weight Watchers goal weight until MS took away her mobility. No matter what the weather, she would jog three miles though her neighborhood every day. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning, working with ceramics, and her last hobby collecting teddy bears and related items which filled her home. She was a long time member of the Boise Teddy Bear Lovers Club. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Brother James "Jim" Bartenhagen, and Brothers in Law Oscar Malmin, Norman Malmin, Oscar Nelson, and William "Bill" Cook. She is survived by her Husband Lenard, Sons Leo (Kris) Nampa, Robert (Bunny) Boise, and Daughter Debora (Ron) McLaren Meridian. Grandchildren, Michael (Sydney), Melissa, James, Jennifer, Harley, and Cheyenne. Great Grandchildren Rosalie and Gabriel. Her Brother John (Norma) Bartenhagen Sagle ID. Sisters in Law Betty Nelson Boise, Carlene Cook Kuna, and her long time very best friend Sharon Garland Boise. The Family extends their thanks and gratitude to the staff and caregivers of Signature Hospice with special thanks to Christina and Jeanette for their kind and considerate care. At her wishes, Judy will be cremated and no services will be held. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Idaho Humane Society 4775 Dorman St., Boise, ID. 83705 or to a charity of your choice.
