Joyce Bonnette Henry
Joyce Bonnette Henry Bartlett, TN Joyce Bonnette Henry was born on June 29th 1951 in Orangeburg, SC and made her transition to be with the Lord on October 11, 2016 in Bartlett, TN. Joyce was the 11th child of the Late Sylvia Blume Bonnette and the Late Jefford Bonnette. Prior to moving to Tennessee, Joyce resided in Jersey City and later in Irvington New Jersey. Growing up in the Bronx, NY, Joyce gave her life to Christ at an early age and served at the Caldwell AME Zion Church. In 1982, Joyce met her soul mate Michael L. Henry while serving in the United States Army. To this union were born three beautiful children, Michael Thomas, Sylvia and the Late Daniel Henry. The highlight of Joyce's life was the day her beautiful granddaughter Jacqueline was born. She leaves to celebrate her life numerous family members and friends: her husband, Michael of 34 years, her son Michael Thomas (Chitiaka), her daughter Sylvia and her granddaughter Jacqueline, her sisters Jestine Bonnette Pralour of Cayce SC, Jannette Bonnette Walker (Emmett) of Union NJ, her brothers Macon Bonnette (Edna) of Columbia SC, Clarence Bonnette (Ann) of Orangeburg SC, and Robert Bonnette (Vivian) of Irmo SC. She also leaves her mother in law Marcia Emily Henry affectionately known as Ma Henry. Ma Henry loved her some Joyce! Her sister in law Alberta (Bea Bea) Emily Anderson (Bill), and her brothers in law Eddie Carl Henry (Janette), Antionne Miller Henry (Jaqueline). Joyce loved her dear friends Kathy Lockett Bellamy, Pollie Robinson, Rose Brown, and Karen Simmons. Preceding her in death are her brothers Ervin, Henry, Rudolph, Richard and George. Services are scheduled for October 21, 2016 at 2 PM at the Bartlett Event Center located on Stage Road in Bartlett Tennessee.
