Josephine M. Bond
Bond, Josephine M. WATERVLIET Josephine M. Julian Bond, 92, died on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at the Van Rensselaer Manor in North Greenbush. Born in Watervliet on July 28, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Antoinette Julian. A lifelong resident of Watervliet, Josephine was employed during World War II at Behr Manning and later returned to work at the Norton Company for 20 years before retiring. Josephine was devoted to her family. She was a great cook, enjoyed crocheting and knitting and was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and St. Patrick's Church both in Watervliet. She was the wife of the late Benjamin G. Bond Jr. who died in 1990; loving mother of Benjamin G. (Cindy) Bond III of Latham and Linda Muir of Albany; grandmother of Benjamin J. (Erin) Bond of Delanson and Janis M. (Ryan) Buff of Latham; great-grandmother of Sean P. Buff, Megan E. Buff and Kyle Z. Bond; sister of the late Mary Nicoll, Carmela Rinaldi, John and Carmen Julian; close friend of Jimmy Tracey of Watervliet. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held privately at the convenience of the family with entombment in St. Mary's Mausoleum in Troy.
