Joseph A. Unwin
NOTTINGHAM - Joseph A. Unwin, 84, passed away peacefully at his Nottingham home, Monday, October 10, 2016. Born to Ruth and Arthur Unwin July 22, 1932, in Lincoln, R.I. He married Mieko (Micki) in Tokyo, Japan 1953. He was in the United States Air Force 10 years, owned a service station in Dover, N.H., managed Pease AFB AAFES Service Station (retired 1986), and owned Stonehill Landscaping. He was on the Nottingham cemetery committee. He enjoyed building racing cars for approximately 40 years and going to the race track. He enjoyed going out to the ocean on his boats. Survived by his loving wife of many years Micki, one Brother and two Sisters; Gilbert Unwin (Pat), Shirley Jewel (Richard) and Roberta Adams (Ted), several nieces and nephews. Thank you to the race car drivers J. Doliver, Bryan Doliver, Sean Boyl, Carleton Robie, Joey Gingras, Tom Oliver and Bob Patch. Thank you to Paul and Deais Clark, Charlie Jennelle, Mark Tree, Ickiko Hargu, Scott family, Nottingham Fire Dept., Police Dept. and EMT's. SERVICES: Services will be held October 26, 2016, at 4 p.m., with a reception to follow at Purdy Memorial Chapel, 2 Concord Rd., Rte. 4, Lee, N.H.
