Joseph William Haley Joseph W. Haley, 87, departed this earthly realm to be with his Savior, March 15, 2017. He was born on February 11, 1930 in Seattle to Adele (ne;e D'Amico) and Joseph P. Haley and grew up in the Madrona neighborhood, graduating from Seattle Prep in 1947. After attending Seattle University he married Mavis J. Larson of Kirkland, in 1954 and served in the U.S. Army. He then began work with Pan American Airways and spent most of his career in the travel industry, allowing him to visit locations all over the world. His passions were sailing and Hawaii, where his final resting place will be. He was a devoted Catholic and served in the Knights of Columbus, ministering to inmates in Monroe State Prison. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his fondness for Italian culture, and his love for his family. He is survived by his wife Mavis, children Patrick, Maureen, Michael, Timothy, Brian, Maria Halsell, 20 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
