Joseph A. Botto III
Joseph A. Botto III, age 74 of Conshohocken, died on Monday, February 13, 2017. He was born in Conshohocken on November 14, 1943 son of the late Joseph A. Jr. and Mary (Smith) Botto. Joe was born and raised in Conshohocken where he was a life parishioner of St. Matthew RC Church. He attended St. Matthew Grade School, St. Matthew High School and Conshohocken High School. Joe possessed a vast array of talents in the trades and made his mark as an accomplished and skilled welder, fabricator and steam fitter. As such, employers always looked for and put Joe on the most difficult jobs. He was a proud member of the Steam Fitters Union Local 420 for over 45 years. He was a good friend to all and was always eager to volunteer his time, talents and skills to anyone in need; including the underprivileged. He is survived by: his son, Joseph A. “Bow” Botto IV (Maria); a brother, Jerome E. (Peg) of Conshohocken; 2 grandchildren, Jennie and Joseph V; a great-grandson, Brayden; his beloved companion of 17 years, Jean “Reds” Gillette. He was predeceased by a brother, John and a sister, Maryanne Cahill. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Sunday evening, February 19th, from 4-6pm or on Monday morning, February 20th, from 8:30-10am at the William A. Moore Funeral Home, 708 Fayette Street, Conshohocken. A funeral mass will commence at 10:30am in St. Matthew RC Church, 3rd Ave. & Fayette St., Conshohocken, PA 19428. Interment, St. Matthew Cemetery in Conshohocken. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joe’s memory may be made to St. Matthew RC Church at the aforementioned address.
