Jon R. Hall, 69, of Crescent City passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at his home, surrounded by family and friends. He was born January 29, 1947 in Watseka, the son of Maurice and Dorothy WillmsHall. He married Jean Butz in Crescent City on December 17, 2005. Surviving are his wife, Jean Hall of Crescent City; two daughters, Krista (Kevin) Schuldt of Parrish, FL and Kimberly (Tyler) Miller of Gilman; one son, Klint Hall of Crescent City; two brothers, Gary (Seong) Hall of Palm Coast, FL and Greg (Lynn) Hall of New Port Richey, FL; one sister, Joyce (David) Harms of Tigard, OR; two step-sons, Jason (Kellie) Jarnagin of Kankakee and Jacob (Stacy) Jaffe of Washington, DC; and three grandchildren, Nate, Paige, and Colton Miller. Jon was preceded in death by both of his parents. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Crescent City, CissnaPark American Legion Post #527, and a former volunteer on the Crescent-Iroquois Fire Department. Jon was a lifelong farmer in the Crescent City area. He was an avid fisherman and Cubs fan. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Crescent City. Pastor Joel Brown will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Crescent City. Graveside military rites will be provided by the Cissna Park American Legion Post #527. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka and 1 hour prior to the church service on Thursday. Memorials may be made to Iroquois Memorial Hospice or Cissna Park American Legion.
