John Regan John Thomas Regan, beloved husband and father, died January 9, 2017. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 14th at St. John XXIII Catholic Church, 1220 University Ave., Ft. Collins. A reception and wake will follow. John Regan was born August 7, 1937 in Rochester, NY to Leo and Jane Regan. John grew up in Rochester and attended Catholic schools as a youth. Through a combination of scholarships and family support, he became the first member of his extended family to attend college and graduated from Villanova University in Philadelphia, PA. John married Ellen Berardi on April 20, 1968, and remained a devoted and loving husband for 48 years. John worked as a chemical engineer for Kodak for his entire career. In 1974 John was selected as a key team member to open a new Kodak plant in Windsor, Colorado, and the family relocated to Fort Collins. A lifelong learner, John audited engineering and science classes at Colorado State University after his retirement. He was an enthusiastic walker and enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. John served on the Board of SAINT (Senior Alternatives in Transportation) for a number of years. John and Ellen were active members of St. John XXIII University Parish for 42 years. John is survived by his wife, Ellen; three children, Jenny (and Chad) Oster of Ft. Collins, Michael Regan of Denver and Matthew Regan of Minnesota; two grandchildren, Chloe and Jory Oster; and numerous family and lifelong friends in Rochester. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Genier.
