John Dudley McGregor
John Dudley McGregor, a life-long resident of Baton Rouge, LA, died October 13, 2016. Born November 4, 1931, John was the son of John Dudley McGregor, Sr. and Angel Nuber McGregor. He attended Baton Rouge High School and graduated from LSU. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Holden McGregor; two daughters, Holly McGregor Carruth (spouse, Keith A. Carruth) and Bonnie Dee; a son John D. Goodman (spouse, Robert C. Dahlander); five grandchildren, Michael, Gray, Kathryn, Shelby, and Erin; a great-granddaughter, Chloe; sister, Ida McGregor Newman; nephews, Tom, John, and Bill Newman. He is predeceased by his parents; sister, Margaret M. Wilkinson; and niece, Donna N. Carlton. An Army Veteran, he served in Germany during Korean Conflict. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church (2250 Main Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802) from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. A private burial will be held at a later date at the Kleinpeter Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in John's name may be made to The Baton Rouge Area Foundation (100 North Street, Suite 900, Baton Rouge, LA 70802).
