John Loveday
John F. Loveday Titusville John Francis Loveday, 69 of Titusville passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017. Born on April 1, 1947 to the late Edward and Anne Loveday, John was a 1966 graduate of Oliver Ames high School in North Easton MA and then later graduated from Bryant & Stratton College in Boston, MA with a BA in Accounting. He worked for H&R Block as a Tax Consultant, then as a District and Regional Manager. He set out on his own and opened Loveday's Tax Service in Brockton, MA and later another smaller office in Titusville, FL. Except for a few years when the family moved to South Easton, MA, John (Jack) was a lifetime resident of Brockton, MA until becoming a "snowbird" travelling to Titusville, FL for 14 years, and permanently moving to Titusville in 2014. Because of his love of space and the shuttle program he lived at the Washington Arms, across the river from the VAB on the Kennedy Space Center. He tried to be there for every shuttle launch, especially the night ones. He had a love for sailing, his twin brother, Charlie, was a sailboat Captain and they made many trips up and down the Atlantic coast between Hyannis, MA and West Palm Beach, FL. He also had a love affair with baseball and the Red Sox was his team. He pitched in the Senior Baseball League in the over 30, 40 and 50 categories for several years with friends and many retired Red Sox players. During the 1999 season he pitched with the Montreal, Canada Spyglass team that captured the  MSBL Senior Baseball World Series Championship. In 1994 he was invited to pitch the opening game at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown, NY to celebrate baseball's 100th anniversary. Jack suffered from heart disease and several cancers over a span of 35 years. He was a trooper, but lost his fight on Sunday. He is survived by four sisters, Patricia A (Loveday) Eaton of Middleboro, MA, Gail M (Loveday) Easton of Titusville, FL, Dorothy J. Loveday of Carver, MA and Joyce E (Loveday) Birns of Santa Cruz, CA, several cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his twin, Charles J Loveday, older brother, Edward M Loveday Jr., older sister, Marie E (Loveday) Molin, and younger brother and sister, twins, Daniel J Loveday and Diane T (Loveday) Supplee'. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 am on Friday, February 17, 2017 at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Titusville. God loves you and will hold your heart and soul forever. We love you and miss you, Fair winds and following seas my brother. Condolences may be shared at
