OVIEDO, Fla. - John Kleindienst, age 84, of Oviedo Fla., formerly of Newton, was called home to his heavenly Father on Oct. 8, the 61st wedding anniversary to his wonderful bride Mary. John was born on May 18, 1932, to Herman and Henrietta (Klemm) Kleindienst in Midland Park. He graduated from Newton High School and spent most of his adult life in Fredon. John was the owner of John's Schwinn Cyclery in Newton for many years until he served the Lord running the King's Coach Christian bus ministry until the 1990s. He was a charter member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Newton and supported many other Christian ministries. The two most important things in John's life were his unwavering faith in God and the love for his family with whom he shared his faith. John and his wife traveled the country visiting family and friends in their motorhome until permanently settling in Oviedo, Fla. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, an active volunteer there and at the Lutheran Haven community where he resided. John could always be seen riding his recumbent bicycle throughout Oviedo when he wasn't busy visiting friends and church family. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary (Snook), and his three sons: Mark and his wife, Bess, of Newfoundland; Larry and his wife, Martha, of Peotone, Ill.; and Bruce and his wife, Kim, of Rockaway. The joy of his life were his seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren whom he loved more than anything. The family invites you to celebrate John's arrival to his heavenly home with a Resurrection Celebration of his life on Saturday, Nov. 26, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Newton, at 11 a.m., with a repast to follow in the fellowship hall. Donations are suggested to one of the two ministries that meant the most to John: Ron Hutchcraft Ministries- Harrison, Ark., or Lutheran Haven, 2041 W SR 426, Oviedo, Fla., 32765.
