JOHN BRIAN JEANS April 5, 1948 ~ October 8, 2016 5'9" bear of a man, who on the inside was just a big ol' sentimental softy. Loved his home in Catharpin, Virginia and barbecuing shrimp and burgers on the patio with his dog, Rusty, by his side. An artist in the field of construction, his home (half of which he built himself) and shed (also built by him) were littered with tools. Loved watching a good war flick (he was an Army vet) or any film with Steve McQueen. His favorite vacation spot was the family camp in the beautiful state of Maine. Enjoyed hiking and camping there; in fact, enjoyed the outdoors in general and was never, ever cold, no matter the weather. Most often seen wearing Dickies jeans, a Hanes t-shirt, and a Stihl hat. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he respected the New York Giants but still wanted his Washington Redskins to cream them on Sundays. Hated the Cowboys-no getting around that. Most importantly he loved his family, and he is survived by a big one, who loves him very much, too. We'll miss you, Dad. Burial at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
