Insig_sm.jpg John Joseph 'Jack' Gaynor Jr., 74 Was president of Plumbers Local 122, member of pipe band and other Irish organizations, of West Orange, 74 John Joseph "Jack" Gaynor Jr., 74, of West Orange, N.J., passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017, at his home. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main St., West Orange. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave., West Orange. Cremation will be private. Jack was born in Orange, N.J., and lived in Livingston for six years before moving to West Orange. He was a plumber for the Plumbers Local 122 for 43 years and was also president of the union for several years. He was partner with Gately & Gaynor Plumbing & Heating in West Orange for several years before retiring in 2008. Jack proudly served in the United States Army as a corporal from 1964 to 1969. He was member of the Shillelagh Club and was a founding member of the band as well; he was a member the Emerald Society and Band, Cryan Association, McGovern Association, the O'Hara Association, the Irish American Society of the Oranges, American Legion Post Trenton 1000, and the National Rifle Association. Jack was the devoted father of Thomas, Sean and his wife Amber and Patrick and his girlfriend, Diana Dandeo. He was the loving brother of Thomas, Rosemary Longworth, Peter, and the late Kevin and the cherished grandfather of Luke. Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerfuneralhome.com .
