JOHN JOSEPH CINO, SR. (Age 81) "Coach" John Joseph Cino, Sr., "Coach", 81, devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away suddenly into Our Lord's Arms on Wednesday October 12, 2016 with his loving family by his side. He was born on August 15, 1935 in Carbondale, PA to the late Vincenzo and Vincenza Cino. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife "Honey," Barbara Lois Cino. He is survived by his loving children, Tina (Harry) Branning of Glastonbury, CT; Joyce (Dusty) Gloeckler of Brookeville, MD; John J, Cino, Jr. of Ijamsville, MD and Barbara Ann Cino of Rockville, MD and his beloved grandchildren who know him as "Goober-Doober"; Tess, Paula, Stephanie, John (JJ), Samantha, Caitlyn and Joey and great grand-daughter, Kaylee. He was loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, coaches, former football players and colleagues. His infectious smile and encouraging words will be missed by all. After serving his country, Coach Cino played at Penn State under the legendary coach Joe Paterno and was a member of the first Liberty Bowl team. He was a teacher in Montgomery County for 42 years and had the privilege of coaching football at Peary and Richard Montgomery High Schools. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 520 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD 20850 where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 1 p.m. Burial to immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial Gifts may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, (Finance Department, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016) to help find a cure for this disease.
