Joe O. Morales
Joe O. Morales, 82, of Fort Lupton, passed away April 3 at his home. He was born in Uvalde, Texas, Jan. 9, 1935, to Ysabel and Herlinda (Flores) Morales. He moved to Fort Lupton and married Alice Martel Sept. 27, 1952. Joe spent his life working as a butcher for Cudahay, Swift & Co. and Wilson Foods Packing House and was a faithful member of St. Williams Catholic Church. He loved to dance, go fishing and bowling. He had a good sense of humor and always enjoyed a good joke. Joe also enjoyed coaching Little League baseball in Fort Lupton. Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, of Ft. Lupton; daughter, Jodie Morales, of Fort Lupton; siblings, Daniel (Laura) Morales , Alfonso Morales and Hector (Janet) Morales, of Washington; Andy (Patricia) Morales, of Central Point, Ore.; and Thelma Villasana, of Sabinal, Texas; three grandchildren, Marina, Delilah and Rico; and one great-grandchild, Dezimiah. His parents; one sister, Irma Morales; and three brothers, Humberto, Alfaro and Ariel, preceded him in death. The Rosary will be at 11 a.m., Monday, April 17, immediately followed by the Mass of Christian burial at 11:30a.m., both at St. Williams Catholic Church, 1025 Fulton Ave.. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery. Tabor-Rice Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
