She attended schools in the Rose Lake and Kellogg areas. Joanne met her first husband, Fred Blessing, at a grange dance and they were married on September 11, 1947. They had four children: Theresa, Kathy, Fred and Debbie. We will all miss her loving and caring ways. In memory of our mother: "When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me I want no rites in a gloom-filled room. Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not too long and not with your head bowed low. Remember the love we once shared-Miss me, but let me go. For this journey we all must take, and each must go alone. It's all a part of the Master's plan, a step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick at heart go to the friends we know and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds-Miss me, but let me go." Author Christina Georgina Rossetti. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Auburn Crest Hospice, 1221 Ironwood Dr. #102, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho 83814 or to the charity of your choice.
