In memory of
Joan Wooten Kaminsky, 81, of Plum Boro, formerly of Lower Burrell, passed Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, with her daughters by her side in UPMC East, Monroeville. She was born April 1, 1935, in New Kensington to the late Gordon E. Wooten and Dorothy Roberts and lived most of her life in the local area. A homemaker, she was a member of St. John Orthodox Church and enjoyed artwork, crafting, crossword puzzles and gardening and was an avid reader. Joan was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed living an independent lifestyle. She will be lovingly missed by her daughters, Vicky (Ralph) Baker, of Lower Burrell, Karen Kaminsky, Plum Boro, with whom she made her home, and Maribeth (Timothy) Walter, of Crossville, Tenn.; granddaughter, Erin (Brandon) Baer; great-granddaughter, Samantha Jo Baer; siblings, Brian Wooten, of Eugene, Ore., Darlene Praete, of Gallatin, Tenn., Ted E. (Mary) Wooten, of Bidwell, Ohio, and Norena K. Montgomery, of Gallipolis, Ohio; stepmother, Nora Wooten Burgess, of Gallipolis, Ohio; her beloved dog, Snoopy; and numerous loving extended family and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Kaminsky; son, David J. Kaminsky; and brother, Larry Wooten. Services and burial will be private.
