Obituary for Joan Barnhart
Joan Barnhart, 86, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Riddle's Elephant Breeding Farm and Wildlife Sanctuary, P.O. Box 715, Greenbrier, Ark. 72058 or the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
Joan was born Dec 23, 1930 in Sommeville, Mass to James and Coral Colbert.
Joan served as a Corporal in the US Marine Corps where she met and married Sgt. Herbert D. Barnhart. She was a longtime secretary in the Land Division at Montex Driling.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents; and her two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors: Daughter, Janet Porter and husband, Alan; and several nieces and nephews.
