Jimmy F. Zampine
Jimmy F. "Jimbo" Zampine of Carver, formerly of Braintree, passed away unexpectedly at home on October 16, 2016, at the age of 76. Born in Quincy, Jimmy grew up in Braintree and graduated from Braintree High School. For many years, he ran the Zampine farm in Braintree until its closing in 1982. Jimmy was also the former Tree Warden for the town of Braintree and a member of the Sons of Italy. He was the son of the late Felice and Julia (Spera) Zampine; devoted brother of Mary Louise Hamel of Braintree and the late John Zampine and Angelo Zampine. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Reposing at the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., Braintree, until 10:30 a.m. Thursday, followed by a funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-7 p.m. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the MSPCA-Angell, 350 S Huntington Ave., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
