In memory of
Jimmy Allen "Legend" Raines 72, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017 at home surrounded by family. He was born January 26, 1944 at Saltillo to Claude and Bessie (Holcomb) Raines. He was a retired truck driver from Super Sagless and Action Transport with over 1,000,000 safe driving miles. He loved camping, fishing, and spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Jimmy had a great sense of humor and loved telling stories of his life and his travels. He attended church at Greater Vision Ministries and had a special love for his church family. He received Jesus as his Savior in December, 1999 and during his illness he put his trust in the Lord. Funeral services will be at Waters Funeral Home, Sunday, January 15, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Walter Prather and Bro. Merle Floyd officiating. Burial will be in the Campbelltown Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Swinney Raines of Jericho; two sons, David Raines of Jericho and Dale Raines (Jennifer) of Guntown; two daughters, Donna Buckley (Chris) of Jericho and Vicki Myhand (Jackie) of Baldwyn; (12) Grandchildren; (21) Great-grandchildren; host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; (7) brothers; (2) sisters; and one Great-grandchild, Gabriel Swafford. Pallbearers will be Justin Dykes, JJ Dykes, Matthew Bishop, Robby Swafford, Andy McCool and Zack Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be James Dykes, Padriet Raines, Cecil Hardin, Riley Magill.
