In memory of
Jewel Turner May 11, 1930 - Feb 10, 2017 After a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's, Jewel Turner passed on from this world and into the arms of the Lord at the age of 86. She was born in Stroud, Oklahoma, but lived in California most of her life. She is survived by her devoted husband of almost 54 years, Charles and loving son, Greg (Sharon), faithful sisters Mert and Meldia, and two grandchildren, Kade and Kyla. Above everything, Jewel was faithful to the Lord and to her family. She was a wonderful example of wife and mother to all who knew her. She treasured time spent with family and friends. She also worked for 18 years as an instructional aide for Modesto City Schools. Her strong faith led her through a triumph over breast cancer and through the devastating loss of her son, Brian (deceased, Kim). A celebration of life service will be held at 11a.m. on Friday, February 17th at the Shelter Cove Community Church Event Center, 4242 Coffee Road, Modesto. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in her name to Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto 95356, or Shelter Cove Community Church. www.cvobituaries.com
