Jerry W. Kelley LITTLEFIELD-Jerry W. Kelley, 87, of Littlefield formerly of Earth, Texas, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 15, in Littlefield, Texas. He was born March 23, 1929, in Earth, Texas, to N. Ray and Helen Nichols Kelley. He graduated from Springlake High School in 1947 and married Beth Sanders, on Aug. 24, 1948, in Earth, Texas. Jerry was a farmer for 60 years in the Earth community. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Earth. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge achieving his 65-year pin in 2016. In addition, he had been president of the School Board and the Earth Cemetery Association. He and Beth lived in Ruidoso for 12 years before retiring to Littlefield. He loved to fish and also to travel with his wife. One of his great joys was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his favorite thing was teaching them to fish. Jerry will be remembered for his generosity to others and his love for animals. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Beth Kelley of Littlefield; his son, Kirby and wife, Gay of Fort Worth; daughter, Norma and husband, Gene Cotton of Littlefield; grandchildren, Michele Hale of Arizona, Brad Cotton of Lubbock, and Brady Kelley of Amarillo; seven great-children and one great-great grandchild. His extended family includes Jerrel Lee and Art Haberer and Lajuana O'Hair. Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 17, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hammons Funeral Home in Littlefield, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Earth, with burial at Earth Memorial Cemetery immediately following.
