Jerry George Bryant Cedar City, Utah Jerry George Bryant, age 85, passed away surrounded by his family on October 14th, 2016. He was born in Cedar City, Utah to Orson J. and Elora Urie Bryant on the 28th day of July 1931. He married his sweetheart and love of his life, Lillian Bauer on September 12th 1959 in the St. George Temple. Jerry is survived by his spouse Lillian (Lynn) Bauer Bryant and five children: Jeri Lynn Benell (Anthony), Ronald Orson Bryant, Brenda Roscher (John), Boyd Bryant, Daniel Bryant (Sarah), 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in three bishoprics, as High Priest Group Leader, Elders Quorum President, Cubmaster, Home Teacher, and many more. Jerry and Lillian also served a 2 year full time mission at the Cedar City Family History Center, and served as ordinance workers in the St. George Temple for 4 years. Jerry graduated from Cedar City High School in 1950 and went on to take several courses from Southern Utah State College. He loved the mountains and working with his brothers and children at the family ranch and cabin. He loved his family very much and enjoyed being with them as much as possible. He was a farmer and livestock man and served as water master of the Coal Creek Irrigation Co. for 30 years and served as president and secretary of that company for several terms for a total of 33 years. He worked as the Iron County Weed Supervisor for 8 years. Jerry's family would like to express their deep appreciation to all the nurses and Doctors at the Cedar City Hospital and the Home Health staff for their excellent care. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Cross Hollow Stake Center, 2830 West Cody Drive, Cedar City, UT. There will be a viewing held on Thursday, October 20th from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at Southern Utah Mortuary, 190 North 300 West, Cedar City, Utah. On Friday October 21, 2016 the viewing will be at the Church from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
