Jerry Ayer Grandview, IN Jerry H. Ayer 83, passed away at his residence of February 15, 2017. Jerry was born on July 21, 1933 in Grandview to the late Ralph Ayer and Geneva Haines. Jerry worked for Whirlpool in Evansville for 47 years, he was a Tell City High School graduate, he was a loving father, grandfather, he always thought about the future, he loved to hunt, play cards, travel, camp and horses. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, son; Frederick Mark Ayer, step-mother; Joyce (Miller) Ayer. Jerry is survived by his wife; Ruth (Davison) Ayer whom he married on May 29, 1954, daughter; Rebecca Turner and her husband Thomas Glenn of Owensboro, son; Ralph Alan Ayer of Grandview, Jerry Richard Ayer of Grandview, grandchild; Tabatha Nicole Boyken and her husband Ed, great grandchildren; Lincoln Boyken, Laney Boyken, Linley Boyken, sister; Judith McCorkle and her husband Rex of Owensboro, brother; Gary Ayer and his wife Carol of Owensboro, special niece; Karen Denise Parker of Owensboro. Services are 2 P.M. Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Boultinghouse Funeral Home, with Bro. Ray Leslie officiating. Burial is in Grandview Cemetery in Grandview, Indiana. Visitation is from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. Friday, February 17, 2017 and from 12 noon until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
