Jeremy J. Slenk, age 42 of Holland, died early Monday morning March 13, from injuries sustained after being thrown from a truck in a single vehicle crash. With his mother and sister at his side and a team of trauma surgeons working feverishly to save him, Jeremy left this world to re-join his father in Heaven. He was loved more than he ever knew, and will be greatly missed for his smile, hugs, sense of humor, love, spontaneity and the list goes on. He had an infectious personality and a Peter Pan spirit, which consistently guided him into both fun and trouble. Jeremy was preceded in death by his father, Ted Slenk, on October 7, 2016. Jeremy's greatest gift was his beautiful boys, Spencer Slenk-Patterson (18), and Teagan (10) and Kipton (6) Slenk; with their beloved mother, Heather. Also mourning this loss are his mother, Marilou and Mitch Kamphuis; brother, Jesse and Jenn Slenk; sister, Mandy and Phil Kamphuis; several nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, past relationships and a large circle of friends and acquaintances who always loved him. A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, March 19 at Bethany Christian Reformed Church, 11 E 32nd St., Holland with Pastor Dan Walcott officiating. Visiting hours are scheduled for 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, March 18 at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E 16th St., Holland. Memorial contributions may be made to his children's education fund c/o Fifth Third Bank. Condolences may be left online at www.langelandsterenberg.com.
